The Bar at tcr, Tottenham Court Road

I think some of the people below must have been in a different pub.

However, I remember this place from when it was Ye Olde Surgeon (Gawd bless it!) and then The Pint Pot. Progress dictates that shiny, matted fabric benches should be replaced with comfy, leather sofas and dining tables, but it's still a pleasant enough environment (they must have turned the dimmer down now, Camdengirl).

Would highly recommend the calzone from this lunchtime visit and the food generally is of a much higher-than-usual-London-pub standard.

One thing that it would REALLY benefit from is a decent selection (or even one option) of a good real rale... ...it's the way ahead.
