The Fox Inn, Tamworth

Really sorry if i come across like a grumpy old git here but im gonna have abit of a moan about which was once my favourite pub.

In my opinion,its just not what it used to be. Been my local boozer for years, but recently sold off by ember inns. the current owners (sorry i forget who) are really aiming at younger clients e.g offers on shots and pitchers of carling etc and playing dance music in the background. in the last 3 or 4 times iv visited there have been big groups of roudy 18-30s making noise and mess. also allowing kids for the first time, which doesnt bother me usually but there are loads of them!beer is very average as is the food, but you pay higher than average prices.

The pub itself is a good size but needs decorating, the fox got flooded out twice many years ago and doesnt seem to have seen a lick of paint since.i recommend you go up the road to the tame otter. Better in every way in my opinion, but always alot busier than the fox...says alot though i think
