The Bowling Green, Horwich

Ever changing selection of beers, wish they would keep one staple ale on as quite a few times I've not fancied any of the offerings. Toilets are looking pretty grim these days and the whole pub feels ready for a refit, still the landlord and landlady are doing there best to provide entertainment and keep the pub busy over the weekends.

Original Bay Horse, Horwich

Called in here a few weeks ago, had a change of ownership and a complete makeover since my last visit. The effect of this however was completely ruined when the barman brought my change over (a five pound note) in his mouth, then proceeded to hand it to me, saliva soaked end first. Charming!

The Brown Cow, Horwich

Great if you like a pub full of dogs (and I do mean the four legged kind). Counted 9 in the pub on my last visit. Just what I love is being sat in a pub listening to someone's mutt bark its bollocks off, especially when the staff fail to act.
Seems little point in removing the jukebox to keep out the yob element then letting a different kind of yob in who lets their animal growl and bark with a complete disregard for other customers.
