The Half Moon, Herne HIll

With Ganleys being turned into yet another 'gastro' pub catering for the Dulwich crowd, the Half Moon is really the only pub left for locals in the area.

That is about to change though, with the landlord sniffing the wallets of the wealthy Dulwich crowd, the pool table has now been removed, Premiership football will stop being shown next season (The Half Moon is the last remaining pub in the Village that shows football) and over priced pizzas are to be introduced.

Unfortunately the drive to rid the pub of the local people who have lived in the area and used it for years is well underway in favour of those who will use it once or twice a year.

If you want another samey samey Gastro pub like everywhere else in the area, the Half Moon will be the pub for you, if you are looking for the genuine South London experience you will soon be out of luck.

I am rating it as a five as I still enjoy the odd drink down there but with the football under threat and the pool table gone, it will not be the same.
