The Gate Hangs High, Hook Norton

Only one real ale available on the bar, Hooky Bitter, so I ordered a pint of that. I took it to my table to wait for my meal to arrive. The beer was hazy (to say the least) and it tasted 'tinny'. When my starter arrived I pointed out to the waitress that the beer wasn't very good and she asked if I wanted something else so I asked for a glass of wine. The wine never arrived and the beer, which remained on our table for the duration, appeared on the bill!

Bread to accompany my soup arrived as I was just finishing it and the service was 'slack'.

I was very dissapointed with the beer, both offer and quality, and the service was almost as bad!
