The Colwell Bay Inn, Freshwater

Defiantly recommended for food and beer.

We visited the Colwell Bay Inn several times during June/July �09. The place has recently changed hands and the new owner is rebuilding the business from what appeared to be a low position.

The price of the beer was good, the food superb and the wait time for the food was very short compared to some places we�d been. One evening I actually managed a word with the chef and congratulated him personally.

The bar area seems a bit lacking in atmosphere but hopefully this will improve, as far as we know it only changed hands Easter 2009 so give it time.

One word of warning: they don�t cook on Mondays but give your stomach and wallet a treat another evening.
