The Kings Head, Burgess Hill

Although it's a little rough and ready I am very fond of the Kings Head, and it's late license means you don't have to rush away, especially if the band is good.

With observant and courteous bar staff and a pleasant atmosphere, it's a pub that's worth visiting in Burgess Hill, as long a you don't mind a bit of well intentioned loudness on a Friday or Saturday night.

The Royal Oak, Wineham

The Royal Oak has everything one could wish for in an unspoilt country pub, fine location, beautiful old building, enchanting rustic interior, disappointing however when I visited with a friend on a weekday evening and was chilled by the frosty reception I received.

Tim, try to be, at least, a little welcoming to a non-local.

The Spur, Slindon

Don't let the fact that this pub is situated right next to a garage, it's well worth a visit. If you want good, inexpensive food on a Sunday evening, this is the place to come to, be wise and book a table though. Expect staff to be helpful and friendly.
