The Horse and Groom, Sidcup

The Horse and Groom frustratingly is the nearest pub with a beer garden to my home. It is also near to other family members and would make an ideal local -IF IT WASN'T SUCH A DISAPPOINTING PUB! True - you can't expect too much from a chain pub/restaurant like this but this particular pub is badly managed. Not eaten in there since we were initally sat at a table which had a stench of drains in the air. When we asked to be moved they acknowledged they knew of the stench - why put us there then? Why not sort the problem out? The food was OK apart from a thick black hair that was encrdued into some cheese. When we complained the plate was scrutinised to see if we had deliberately put in in the dinner to get money off! They admitted it was there fault and refunded that dish. Have drunk there on a couple of occasions since - bar staff normally miserable, toilets in bad order, beer garden left with dirty glasses andrubbish and broken fence separating the garden from the car park.
