The Anchor Tap, Tower Bridge

A proper old fashioned boozer, away from the tourist traps, It has a few pokey little rooms, a piano and a pool table. Some would call it dark and dingy, but with the fire going I found it cozy and welcoming. The beer was cheap but was all on tap and not hand drawn which was a shame otherwise I'd have marked it higher. Still, made a nice change from the usual photofit new style of London pub.

The Green Man, Longfield

Only had Spitfire on tap which was disappointing, but the food was good and they have decent selection of daily specials and a kids menu, served all day too. I took my young family and we were made to feel welcome.

The Spyglass Inn, Ventnor

The woman who served me at the food counter, (think Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect) was rude and just plain scary. The food was expensive but came out huge and was tasty. The beer from the local Ventnor Brewery was top notch and the view across the bay from the terrace is stunning. A real mixed experience.
