The Highgate Inn, Highgate

Now called Highgate Inn and has been for some time. Good manager (Dennis), comfortable, good jukbox and oversubscribed quiz machine.

Winter's, Finchley

Went to the Thursday night quiz there. What a god-awful pub - barman seemingly more interested in his phone than in serving us and he insisted on leaving the front door open as he said it got too smoky in the back if it was closed. The fact that everyone in the front had their coats on and one person had someone else's coat over their knees might have given him a hint that this wasn't a universally popular policy. Pub needs to shell out on some ventilation or ban smoking!

The Bell House, Camden

Interested to see 'davecamden's' reply to my comment on the pub - he apologised for a particular night without knowing what date I was referring to. Somehow, I doubt we had the same night in mind... I've visited a lot of pubs in London and this is the only one I am sure I will never go back to.
