Excellent food prepared by the resident chef, a wonderful Irishman called Tom who comes out and presents you with a speaking menu of all his home-made, toally organic and truly wonderful food. Good atmosphere, too, and a fun quiz on Thursday nights.

The Cutty Sark Tavern, Greenwich

The Cutty Sark is an excellent pub with good atmosphere and friendly staff. For food, it is certainly one of the best in the area, although the price of a pint is scandalous for the locale.

Not quite sure what happened to PigPen with the juke box, �1 gets you four tracks every time.

Ship Ashore, Milton Keynes

My wife and I eat in the Ship Ashore regularly and have never found fault with the food or the real ales served there. The staff are always polite and friendly and the range of food is both wide and consistently good.

I'm afraid I can't comment on the chicken curry because I would never eat Indian cuisine in a pub - it's just pointless when they are so many good Indian restaurants.

One thing I especially like is their firm rule about not allowing minors in the pub, which greatly enhances the atmosphere.
