St Margarets Tavern, St Margarets

Not sure if it's the change of management that�s brought this on, personally I don't think so - new manager seems like a good guy who realises there�s a storm brewing. What was once a pub rated highly even in the national press, a favored watering hole for all the locals and a great venue to meet at before and after the rugby at Twickenham has now been relegated to the Shell suit division. Went there last Sunday - only to find the entire upper level covered in wall to wall 3/4 tracksuits, white Reebok Classics and Burberry caps. Bright lighting and a total change of bar staff have proved to much of a temptation for the local trailer trash, never have I seen such a butt ugly group of patrons in my life! Witnessed two fights here in the last month��and now they are going to run with the idea of screening the football!!!! What a joke, there is very little chance of me walking in to a pub full of overweight Chavs with there shirts off, sporting tattoos of their newly borns first name. ! This are not just my feelings, a lot of people I know have turned there back on St Margaret�s. Please guys, if you read this � increase your prices (never thought I�d say that), set a dress code and don�t screen the football on a regular basis � you have a loyal audience that�ll keep the place going, not drive it into the ground.
