The Leeds Arms, Scarborough

Not the cheapest place, but then if you're after nowt but cheap booze you may as well frequent the souless, plastic establishments identical to every town centre.
The Leeds is a 'proper' locals place, its very small and so can seem quite busy at times. Very friendly bar staff, keeps a good pint of Bass and Tim Taylors Landlord.
As the last reviewer said, it's an absolute gem, this is how real pubs should be.

The Cask Inn, Scarborough

Cracking pub, always a nice atmosphere with a good mixture of people and ages. Free quiz on tuesdays gets pretty busy, and the weekly live music events are to be recommended (especially the blues club on thursday nights).
Not bad pub-grub either.
Worth a visit if you like real pubs.
