The Mansion, Gipsy Hill

Now open as The Paxton and run by the Capital Pub Company. Ok beers but as with some of their other pubs like the Florence in Herne Hill, more like a creche than a pub with pushchairs as far as the eye can see.

I much prefer Beer Rebellion, the temporay pub in an old shop oppostie Gispy Hill station, just 2mins walk up the hill.

Ship Centurion Arminius, Whitstable

A quality pub serving quality drinks - with German pilsner on tap for those that like it and quality local ales for those that don't. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the pub was always busy and lively without being overcrowded. I cannot say I felt this place was cliquey as one or two other reviewers found, more a quality pub that is popular with the locals. Never discovered if there is a reason behind the Deutsch link, but not complaining. Well worth a visit!

The Grey Derby, Kennington

As others have said this place is now called the Brown Derby. It's an excellent place to spend a couple of ours with friends on a weekend. The ambiance is laid back and unfussy. They have an ever changing beer selection with 3 or 4 ales on tap, yesterday it was By the Horns - Diamond Geezer, Redemption Pale Ale and ELB Foundation Bitter. Standard pub fare for food. Not the most amazing meal I've had, but you get a gigantic Sunday roast for £9. Recommended.
