The Skinners Arms, Kings Cross

Best pub I've found if you've got an hour or so to kill wilst waiting for your train at King's Cross or St Pancras - about 5 mins walk (max) from each.

Only two Greene King ales on (IPA & Abbot) but both very well kept.

It's safe, quiet, airy and a welcoming place to while away an hour with a crossword and a couple of pints before your train arrives.

The Blue Flame Inn, Nailsea

When Big Pete confidently predicted that "you'll never have been in a pub like this in your life" I was a bit dubious. But he's right. This is just like stepping back in time fifty years. The building (which is like an old house) probably hasn't had any attention since then, so it's on the run-down side, but this only serves to give it more charm. Excellent selection of garavity-fed real ale.

It's a bit like a marmite pub - like it or hate it. I love it!

The Battleaxes, Wraxhall

Don't be sucked in my the nice architecture outside. It's a food pub with no decent beers/ciders. Food OK though.

It's one of those pubs which could be great, but promises more than it delivers.
