The Swan, Little Totham

Definitely one of the most interesting pubs i know. Excellent beer variety presented by a very friendly staff. Almost familiar atmosphere inside as well as outside. Well prepared homemade food combined with relaxed service made this pub to a great experience during our short visit in Essex. Ten � spent for the taxiride from Maldon seemed well invested money. Looking forward to another visit when we will return for a longer holiday in the area.

The Six Bells, St Albans

Unfortunatley I have to confirme Rune's rating. The beer wasn't satisfying - except the Guiness - and the service was uninspired and almost rude. We asked for a table for diner and were informed that we must wait until 6 pm. Fair enough, but after one hour of waiting - with bad beer - we got knew that all tables were booked out... They couldn't tell us this before? I was quite disappointed. Nevertheless, i hope the landlord have had a bad day and the pub will be as cosy and god again, as you described it. Regards, Catw.
