The newly refurbished Magdala is a great improvement on the old one, although the wood fired pizzas need some more work done on them. A good place to watch the footie too

The Rye Pub, Dining Room and Garden, Peckham Rye

Have been coming here since the summer and it just gets better and better. Great food, really friendly staff and a fantastic ambiance. Diane and Scott know what makes a good pub.

The Gowlett Arms, Peckham

The Gowlett doesn't really seem to know what it wants to be, and it would appear to be suffering from an identity crisis. It is half modern trendy bar and half traditional 'boozer'. The bar itself looks great, but the old fashioned banquettes and tables look out of place with what the place wants to be. Its a shame as it could be a great local
