The Hollybush, Elstree

The manager and his barstaff are first-rate: friendly, hospitable and efficient. Also worth noting- the Guinness is excellent, as the boys take their cellar duties very seriously.

Having said that, it's not one of the greats. The pool table dominates the pub to the exclusion of a proper seating arrangement and there's an unfortunate whiff of pikey about too many of the regulars.

The Prince of Wales, Burnt Oak

Bad news, I'm afraid...P�raic and Mags have done a quick about turn and disappeared once more. The pub is now being run by a temporary management team parachuted in by (I think) Fireside Inns.

The Greyhound, Hendon

Now in a new (and safe) pair of hands, The Greyhound is once again a pub worth going to. Properly kept ale, clean and pleasantly appointed.
