The Moon in the Square, Bournemouth

I would just like to say as someone who works in this pub that we always offer excellent customer service. I agre that there are not enough staff on at times but when you are the cheapest pub in Bournemouth and have deals such as a coffee for 69p, a beer and a burger for �3.99 it's quite difficult to make money to spend on staff and actually hit our target wage percentage. Maybe some people are use to going to other bars and spending around �3 per bottle/pint they have. I personally think customer service is awful in other pubs around the sqaure, each to thier own I suppose. Typical spoons? probably,but what pub doesn't have 'chav's' and old people. We make them feel welcome thats why they come back. The drink selection is second to none. Zyweic,Zyvturus we sell them. Bud on tap, red stripe on tap. I could go on. We are getting a refurb soon which willmake the place so much better and willno doubt improve the speed of service on fri and sat night. the problem at the moment is that we can't get enough staff behind the bar. The Management are best I have seen run a pub. Others in town you would think they just open the door and let things go thier own way.

In all i'm saying this is, not being biast, a great pub!
