The White Swan and Cuckoo, Wapping

This was a typical sticky carpet east end local with big screen TV and even Elvis impersonators.
However unless you were known to more than half the pub already your welcome was frosty at best.
It was however true to itself.
Unfortunalty they have decided to repaint the bar, woodpanelling, doors and fireplace from the traditional dark brown to a light duck egg blue and install stark lighting that has all the warmth of a hospital. The cringeworthy kitch is crowned by a tiny gas effect fireplace with a lone orchid either side.
I hate to see the death of a good boozer but if you fancy a chuckle pop in but save you giggles for when you leave.
