The Ram, Kingston Upon Thames

This place has everything I look for in a good pub. When approaching the bar I found a great selection of real ales and was advised to try the Sharpes' Doombar by a friendly barman. The beer was spot on and went perfectly with my pie and mash. There seems to be a regular crowd during the day and an overall friendly atmosphere.
I returned later that evening after a visit to the Rose Theatre to find a busier pub with more young people, but still the friendly quick service I had experienced during the day. Being just out of the town center this pub seems to avoid the more chavy customers unlike some of its competitors.
I guess there are still some good old English pubs about! I recommend this pub to all.
