The Romiley Arms, Romiley

In three words: absolutely bloody awful. I heard the place was under new management so decided to go and check if had improved from the dive it was when I last went about a year ago. It's not. If anything it's even worse. I went in on a weekday in the afternoon for a bit of food with my wife. The usual no-good-on-the-dole-loudmouthed idiots were at the bar, making it a very unpleasant atmosphere. The staff member who served us at the bar was unenthusiastic, slow and unpleasant. The food took far too long to come seeing as the pub was practically empty, and my chips weren't even cooked properly! My wife's salad was also soggy and warm, as if it had been left under heat. I think what must have been the manager next served me at the bar, and his attitude was no better than his staffs. He needs to take a serious look at the pub and the way he is running it. Would never go here again and would certainly not go through the embarrassment of recommending it to somebody else. Very poor rating, even for this area of stockport.
