Bankes Arms Hotel, Corfe Castle

II dont normally like to write negative reviews but think I need to on this occasion as Corfe is a small place and so the choice of pubs is slim. Whatever you do avoid the Bankes arms hotel. Its a real shame as Corfe itself is really nice but this is poor pub. First the good parts the Ringwood beer was ok and the garden was pleasant with the steam trains puffing past. Sadly the food is overpriced and poor quality. My friend had some Scallops which were overpriced at 15 plus with a salad "rancid bottle dressing" and poor chips.

My other friend had a very poor Sunday roast; grey meat, gloopy gravy and over cooked limp veg. I had a crab sarnie which was just poor, the bread was dry and under filled and for some random reason it came with tortilla chips! This tells you all you need to know about this ill thought poorly executed and over priced menu. We havent eaten at the other pubs in Corfe but they cant be any worse and the food at the model village looked good (and its licensed).
