The Bluebell, Liss

Organised chaos. Very short of staff so waiting became an issue.
We ate there. I had a beef pie. Not cheap. The pastry had been cooked before hand and heated up. It was too dry to eat. The vegetables were badly overcooked.
Live music in the garden which was fun, but dont eat there.

The Coach and Horses, Rotherwick

Six of us had lunch there today. The food is slow and not very good. I had a lamb pie, pastry looked and tasted like a thin piece of leather. Chips looked nice and golden but were soggy. You need two hours to eat lunch here as the food comes through very slowly.

Beer was super though.

The Barley Mow, The Sands

The beer is good and it has a good wine list. The thing that is special about this pub is the food. Cooked fresh from scratch it has fish specials each day. The portions are big but they will 'doggy bag' for you. The pub has its own dog and allows dogs. The garden is lovely and smokers are looked after. Best pub for food for miles around. No music or TV.
