The Barnt Green Inn, Barnt Green

Nicely done out - all brass topped tables, bucket seats and stone pillars, but a bit of a yuppie wine bar now. Tends to always be too busy for me, though the food is unique and worth trying.

The Throckmorton Arms, Coughton

Visited last night, my perfect pub!! Lovely cosy sofas, open fireplaces, v friendly staff couldn't have been more pleasant or hospitable. Clean and tidy. Food was unbelievably good, which is why we had to wait an hour as we hadn't booked (but not a problem) and the music was just loud enough to hear, but non intrusive. Will go back asap!
