The Priory Hotel, Dover

I have been staying Monday to Friday morning for the past three weeks. The rooms I have stayed in are clean spacious and unlike many more expensive places the sheets and towels are cotton so you can dry yourself properly after a shower and sleep soundly consequently after.

There is only ever one real ale, but it changes, and, exceptionally for real ale, it is always kept in peak form. The food menu is available during the day is basic cheap good working class food. The bar is friendly live music, darts and other clubs meeting place. The music is comforting to fall asleep to latter.

I find the owner, bar staff and cleontel friendly it welcomes and encourages those. Before the present owner, a year ago, I am told it was not a good place. Paint and basic repairs, which can be seen on-going, look as if they have made a such a difference.

The town so spoilt despite having the oldest boat in the world, and a wonderful castle on the cliff and a few napoleonic forts on the other cliff, but with its dual carriageway between the sea front and the town needs it. So much history can be seen if you look at these old buildings like this hotel.
