The Ship, Soho

Visited last evening with about a dozen friends from our architecture appreciation society and was refused service by Duncan the bar manager because it is their policy not to serve groups. Maybe we were too well dressed, but it's the first time in 9 years of touring pubs with friends that I've been refused service because there were too many of us. Duncan was not to be persuaded to change his mind so I took the group around the corner to the Nellie Dean of Soho on Dean Street where they were more than happy to pour us all a pint. Amazing!
