The White Horse, Sutton Coldfield

My partner and I visited this pub in 9 November. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food was very good and reasonably priced. There was a good selection of ales and my partner commented favourably upon the wine (a good job at £5.55 to £6.05 for a large glass)

Hare and Hounds, Minworth

My partner and I visited this pub on the late afternoon / early evening of 9 November 2014 intending to have a meal and drinks. The pub was very busy, which seemed a good sign and I was happy to wait for five minutes to be served by the lone barman. When all customers who were there before me had been dealt with I expected to be served and was dismayed when the barman avoided eye contact and served another customer who had arrived at the bar after me. I made him aware that I was the next in line but to no avail. I took this as an indication that the Hare and Hounds could take or leave my custom and so we left and will not be returning any time soon.
