Good ale, well kept. Good guvnor in Mike.
Now very 'family orientated' and losing its real charm.
The holding company has now barred all dogs so - goodby!.

The Flagship, Dover

Under the new management (Our visit - May 2007) this is a prime, and very rare now, traditional pub.
The warmth of the welcome given to 2 strangers, en-route to Holland with a boat to deliver, was stonking!
Real ale is REAL and perfect; the landlords entheusism and hospitality is boundless; food is excellent, and the clientel are sound enough and friendly.
If you struggle to remember what a real trad pub is like - try the Flagship. (unless you are in a hurry 'cos you'll never get out of the place!!!)
