The Old Quay House Inn, Hayle

When visiting family in the area we always go into this pub for a meal at some point. Went in there on Easter Sunday evening and there were a good few people in there. The food was excellent, the staff are very welcoming, service was brilliant and the toilets are always spotless. What more can you say about this pub? Apart from the location on the estuary which is stunning! If you're down this way pencil this place in, especially if you're a family looking for a nice evening meal.

Friar Tucks, Gloucester

In the 7 years i've lived in Quedgeley i've always liked this pub. But there never seems to be many punters and i fear the pub will join the hundreds and hundreds that are going down the pan each year.

The Little Thatch, Quedgeley

Have to agree with the previous comments. The Little Thatch is a proper cosy little place that takes you back in time. Its the perfect place to enjoy a quiet pint. Not sure if the resturant is open that often. There is definitely serious potential about this place that the management don't realise. It's a very old place that was not so long ago a popular country haunt for Gloucester City folk (but is now in the heart of sprawling Quedgeley). If you are out this way go in this place and enjoy a pint.
