The Oak, Charing

Stayed here recently. Our room was fairly small and could have done with just a little bit more of attention as it was quite grubby. The tea making facilities had obviously not been used for a while. The dining room is quite nice with friendly helpful staff and we had a very nice meal. The bar however wasn't so impressive. The tables had that sticky feeling and the bar area was quite untidy.
The locals appear to 'run the pub' as there were children running in and out.
I give it a grading of 3 because of the meal and the friendliness of the staff.
