The Inn on The Hill, Haslemere

absolutely love this place-fab atmosphere and a brilliant change to usual pretentious british restaurants. erm Skyjawa?!!! one stop name-dropping, learn how to spell (pretentIous)no once cares about some "prestigous" golf club pleease!!! and if you were some kind of chef, you seem to be extremely uneducated and uncultured to other foods. As the previous comment said, the fillet steak hangs as an espetada-brilliant idea, a something special on the menu which most places lack, at 18.95 its not that bad, get over yourself. and the "overwhelming" sauce was most probably a steak basting-as a chef surely you would know about steak basting...you ordered a baguette that came as a baguette..riiight?!! and its "no" plates not "know" plates...erm moving on you dont choose fillet for its flavour, its the tenderness that you get from a fillet. the marbling of a steak gives the most flavour which is found in ribeye and sirloin. fries dumped on the plate underneath?! would you rather have fries on....another plate?!!!! if that is a reason to be moaning, god help us all. next, it sounds to me as if you probably couldn't afford to be there "20 quid..." and im sure the manager couldnt care less because of your evident pretentious attitude. I feel extremely sorry for your fiancee at having to put up with you as you seem to have a huge chip on your shoulder! and lastly, no wonder your an ex-chef...but to everyone else, i would extremely recommend this place!!!

Pub, Chilworth

not at all have you upset me, i just don't understand the resoning for your comment..."suspect that the staff have something to do with the very good comments," so does that mean no one else can write a good comment fotr fear of others suspecting their motives?! for anyone who is looking for a fair comment and is interested in going to the percy then it is a great place, i'll say no more!!!
