A locals pub on the main route into york. Can have a bit of a rough feel though never seen that turn into anything. Shows lots of sport with plenty of TVs. A couple of pool tables and a dart board (badly sited between the pool tables). Often special offers on for beer, which is (relatively) cheap in any case.

This traditional pub is growing on me. Have spent some pleasant afternoons supping in the back room near the open fire. Reasonable range of real ales though nothing stunning. Has a rather miserable barmaid on occasions!

Nice enough. Got a very local feel to it, but not unfriendly. Like the room at the back.

bit scary the only time I risked a visit. Big 'for let' sign now outside.

Thomas's Bar, York
A pub with a lot of potential. Only been in a two or three times over the last year. Sadly, nearly always empty. Just feels unloved - there was a mop and bucket next to the seating when I was last in. Hope someone makes an effort with it.
