have been here several times due to the discount given to local students and NHS staff...their sandwiches and chips are fantastic and the atmospherre is nice to spend an afternoon...
staff can be slow but have never had any real problems...still one of the only pubs in the area i'll attend

have been down twice now for the newly started music on a wednesday night...the service is slow but the atmosphere is ok and gavin and his guitar is always fantastic!!

live music EVERY friday from 9pm- well worth a look as all acts are very talented and stretch across a large range of styles...some not to my taste but atmosphere always positive and all acts well received!

by far the best pub in the area!
good food, (mostly) friendly staff, and well kept beer - now in the good beer guide for the 3rd year running!!
someone here posted that the chef was not working on mon and tues which is FALSE...the chef is there but the a la carte menu is not available on these days.
well worth a visit if you're in the area

spent a great eve in there this week....there is poss nothing better to start a night out than BOGOF cocktails!! great music and atmosphere but totally agree with past comments about staff - would it kill them to smile?? Will DEFINITELY do another visit soon!!
