The Coronet, Holloway

i used to work in this pub back in 1997 to 1999, we had ALOT of great times there and many customers still ask me if i'll ever go back and work there, tim martin used to pop in every once in a while and all the regulars would flock around him saying that they had known "tim weatherspoon" from day dot! hehehe
it was and still is an old man's style pub but has a friendly atmosphere even if you can see the grim reaper hovering over some of the customers!
the beer was good when i worked there and still is today. the food is as expected of a good standered and the bar staff look happy enough, i still have fond memorys of the place and the partys we used to have in there when every one else had gone home.
a great pub, and well wearth a look in for a few beers!
orest, george, nicky, andy and marko, you are all sorly missed from this place!

The Bailey, Highbury

it used to be one of the best pubs on holloway, however over resent years its changed hands a few times and has lost the feel it once had, it has alot going for it however it also has some downsides, beer prices for a start the last time i went in it cost me 3.60 for a carling! but it still has agood feel on match days with a hugh screen at the back and wonderfull tie-food during the week.
good for a few pints but it has alot to do to get me back as a local again.

The Drayton Arms, Highbury

well what can i say, i've used the pub for many years and its changed alot, in recent years its got alot quiter but with the new homes being built all around it its got massive potential!
the pub its self is an old stlye working mans pub, always has been but might not be for much longer as there is talk that it will be re-furbished some time soon. on match days it is both a home or away pub, it has a large beer garden which used to have amazing bbq's during the summer, the beer is of a good standered and is improving even more.
the customers are 90% locals who after a while will welcome any one that comes in on a reguler bases, over all its not the best pub in the world but it does have caricture, some thing many of they new gastro pubs can never get, thats simply down to good people and staff.
if you want a pint it does the job!
