The Sun, Redhill

Imagine assembling all the crooks, alcoholics, tarts and rogues from the area and incarcerating them in one plca. Yep. The Sun...

O'Neills, Redhill

Another steadily declining horror story. Back when it was the Wheatsheaf, a terrific place to go for a good time. Several refurbishments later, a horrible, filthy venue for drunken punch-ups. Class A dealers operated here. Haven't been inside for a good seven years or so.

The Greyhound, Redhill

A good place to go if a band was playing, but lifeless when there was no entertainment. Horrible beer and very expensive, it used to be fairly well frequented. But,alas, people just drifted away over time due to a weird lack of atmosphere.

The Tower, Redhill

A terrific place to be in the Pete Williams / Mick McGinty days, but destroyed by inept managers and the decision to rely on Sky Sport to drum up trade. Post McGinty, this place lost all the local characters and a stale, slightly desperate atmosphere made it increasingly dull. My decision to totally give up alcohol was taken here one Saturday night. I don't miss the place, but Ido miss the people who once made it so good.
