The George and Dragon, Wentworth

Old pub, good selection of real ale.
Friendly bar staff and a great rear garden suitable for children.
one of the best in Rotherham. (albeit, out in the sticks)

The County Borough, Rotherham

This has never been very good, and at the moment, it's worse than normal. it has suffered a fire and it is roofless.
the pub is closed but at least there is no fighting or anyone selling stolen DVD's

The Stratford Haven, West Bridgford

My visit in May 2005 was one mid-week dinnertime, and as such, the pub may not as been at its best.
despite that howver, the beer was great (batemans), the selection was fantastic and the food was very nice.
top ub, worth a visit when a more full house would no doubt lend it more atmosphere.
well done tynemill

The Eagle Hotel, Buxton

called into this pub for the last drink (on a wednesday night).
Nice pint of hydes, though spoilt by the rather unfriendly landlord who seemed very rushed, as he cleared up all around us at 11.10pm. ie upturning stools, turning off the Tv etc etc.
A little bit of courtesy would have helped.

Blue Coat , Rotherham

Some wetherspoons pubs can be ropey at best, and the rhinpoceros (Rhinos) in Rotherham is one of them...but if you are after a reasonable pub, with a good choice of well priced ales, and have a liking for this chain, then give this pub a visit.
Beer well kept, Food is okay, and you do not feel like you have to continually watch your back.
God pub in a nice setting

The Red Lion, Burbage

Friendly pub within the nice village of Burbage.
Visited during a thursday night and this would have scored higher if the beer on offer was more interesting. (Creamflow John Smiths though they did have hand pulle Bass)
On my visit the pub was quite full of locals who set a good atmosphere

Chequers Inn, Burbage

Had a night out in Burbage and although this was not the best of the pubs on offer, its beer made up for the rather 'modern' floor tiling which spoilt the look of the pub (within the context of the village it is in)
The beer included hand pulled Charles Wells bombardier and Eagle IPA (which was very nice).

The Litten Tree, Hinckley

Visited on 19/11/04 at dinnertime.
Quiet at the time...beer was poor, only had creamflow (Drink of the devil) in Johns or Tetleys.
Ordered a mixed grill...quite nice but not sure it was woth a tenner
