The George Inn, Walton on Thames

New landlord/landlady now Mark and Michelle and quality of beer definitely improved. Great atmosphere in there and well worth a visit. Tuesday night is quiz night and is always well attended and very popular. One of the more friendly pubs in walton without the riff raff !!

The Oatland Chaser, Walton on Thames

I reckon this is one of the worst pubs in the area - out of the way of anyone - overpriced - pretentious menu and prices........I remember the good old days here when it was the Kings Manor and was a decent boozer. I hate this modern trend of turning good old boozers into mainly eating/restaurant type places. This kills ALL atmosphere and beer and drinks always get pricey. If people want a restaurant they can go to one but keep pubs as pubs !

The Sawyers Arms, Feltham

"Why does it matter where the management is from?? Being English doesn't mean you automatically know how to keep good ale"

No but it helps ! seeing that England is the place where all Real Ale is brewed and served it does help to be English. Unlike other countries who only know lager. I agree with the comment and find that most pubs run by East Europeans serve awful real ale as real ale takes a lot of care and attention to make it good. Most pubs these days dont seem to want to go to the effort to keep their Ales tasting good. Anyway this pub is one to avoid.

The Anglers, Walton on Thames

Have to agree with majority of reviewers here, this pub continues to be a shocker and if it were not for the fact it was right on the river it would be very quiet indeed. People seem to think it is the place to be but the beer is not much good and the prices are like it is in Central London and the service is poor. The cleanliness of the tables is again something we noticed. One to avoid.

The George Inn, Walton on Thames

Excellent pub run by Terry the landlord. Do excellent drop of Master Brew or Bishops Finger or Spitfire if you so prefer. Excellent new state of art big screen in on wall to watch football. Friendly staff and locals make this an excellent pub in Walton - of which there are very few worthwhile visiting now. Do not forget the Tuesday night quiz which is good fun.
