Bucaneer Inn, Babbacombe

Not the best pub I've been in and not the worst. The ale I had was drinkable and well kept, but the place just lacks spark. The view from the front patio was worth the trip though!

Molloy's, St. Marychurch

Felt a bit like a local's local, but worth stepping over the threshold for a chance to sup the Platform 5 ales - which are exceptionally suppable!

Crown and Sceptre Inn, Torquay

A real gem of a pub. Had a choice of 6 ales when I was there, and had the added bonus of having a cider festival on to cater for my brother. All in all, vey happy with this charming place.

The Hole in the Wall, Torquay

Tucked away so that most tourists won't find it. A great selection of ales when I went in there, and the staff were friendly and informative too. Probably the best ale pub nearest the Princess Theatre for a pre-show tipple.

London Inn, Torquay

Went in here before seeing a show at the nearby Princess Theatre. Despite being very busy (first day of the Summer Holidays) the staff appeared to be on the ball and efficient. Nice selection of ales were on (all well kept), along with the cider in the festival being served in it's own section. I was warned to keep away from this pub, but I had no issues with it. I must have caught it on a good day.

The Talk of the Town, Paignton

Served a decent enough couple of pints of ale when I was there. Not the best Spoon's in the country, but by no means the worst either.

The Yew Tree, Yeovil

Now appears to be closed down and the premises up for sale.

The Picketty Witch, Yeovil

Now a Tesco Express!

The Armoury Inn, Yeovil

Recently managed to scare off one of it's loyal regulars by making him feel unwelcome - way to go! What a way to run a business!

The Manor Hotel, Yeovil

Been in here tonight. Bar staff were on the ball, started with a pint of Greene King IPA (nothing special, but suppable). But they did have the Bury St. Edmond's Ale on the puller (a rarity in Somerset) - probably the best Greene King ale going.

The Riverside, Vauxhall

Charmless and souless on the inisde, nice view on the outside - on a sunny day! Unfortuantely, I came in here to get out of the rain. Wish I got soaked instead now. Ordered a pint of Young's London Gold. It was completely tastless due to having a policy of 'no beer can be served too cold'. If you like to taste your ale, go to the nearby Morpeth Arms just over the bridge instead.
