The Burston Crown, Burston

Lovely friendly pub which is child friendly. Has a nice fireplace area to chat in while your meal is being prepared. Food was of a very high standard, would recommend to anyone. Restaurant is small and does get booked up well in advance.

The Ivy House, Stradbroke

Welcoming friendly pub with lovely food. We were advised not to take the (young) children there. Wide range of dishes freshly prepared. I particularly liked the thai dish. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

Lighthouse Inn, Walcott

Very outdated interior - has an arsenal rug as a welcome mat. Landlord insisted that we leave a credit card behind the bar if we wanted to start a tab which we were not happy to do. Food was reasonable though. Wouldn't go there for a special occasion, but okay for just a meal out.

The Black Swan, Homersfield

Not a child friendly pub at all. Our children were not allowed to 'play' even in the garden. Food was very typical pub grub, but very plain. My salad consisted mostly of lettuce. It's a real shame because the setting so close to the river was beautiful and the children had a lovely paddle there but next time we'll skip the pub and take a picnic to eat it by the river on the picnic tables there.
