The Black Lion Inn, Hereford

This pub is okay, many people avoid it because it is known as a gay bar and there are certaintly not many gay people in this City. The pub's meals are average, your usual pub grub. It needs a desperate make over.

The pub attracts old locals, instead of Hereford's young people. They have tacky unsigned crappy bands there that does nothing for the pub at all. All you get is old men perched on a seat with a whiskey tapping their feet!

The toilets could be in better condition as well if I am honest. On the whole it is a good pub, not super but okay.

The Orange Tree, Hereford

This pub is not so bad but it could indeed be better. The poster below is quite correct that the staff need theirbums put in gear.

I went in the pub with some firends, for a drink and chit chat but it took so long to get served we ended up leaving and visiting The Spread Eagle instead. The staff were too busy out the back talking, instead of paying attention to the bar.

Other than that the pub is not a bad little place to be in.

The Lichfield Vaults, Hereford

This pub is great, again another quality Hereford drinking hole. Very relaxed and cosy. old but fresh, great staff that can offer a quick service.

The Booth Hall, Hereford

One of the best pubs on the row, real good music, staff and the inside is clean and tidy. Only problem is that it does ger totally packed out and it can take forever to get served at the bar,you can't really hold a converstaion in there either unless you are out on the cool outside area with the heaters. In the day time is great, the pub sells cheap meals from 3.99 and is also family friendly.

The Exchange, Hereford

Great pub!

Excellent service, tasty drinks and a relaxed enviroment. Don't understand why there are bad reviews, the pub is one of the best in Hereford.

The Herdsman, Hereford

This pub is okay. Normally full of chavvy locals playing darts. But my partner says it is a good place to watch the footie with a pint!

Legends, Hereford

Thought this was the worst bar in Hereford until I had a drink in the all new 'Zombies', so after comparing the two this place isn't so bad after all, however it could seriously benefit by having a makeover.

Saxty's Cafe Bar, Hereford

There is nothing bad to say about this pub,its just a quality venue! The one poster is right, it doesn't feel like you are in Hereford when you are in this bar, feels more like you are in a snazzy London bar. The place is always packe dout, that is because it is so damn popular in Hereford.

The staff are excellent and give a quick, pleasant service. The inside is smart, cool and clean, with plenty of areas where you can sit down with your friends and share a bottle of wine. This bar could wipe the floor with any other pub in Hereford!

The Imperial, Hereford

Excellent pub to be in , in the evening before you hit a club.Only snag is the long wait to get served and the pricey drinks. Best bet is put a small bottle of vodka in your bag !!

In the daytime the food is okay, same as any other pub grub, nothing special but filling.Staff need to spend more time serving people than standing in the bar mirror checking themselves out or giggling with their workmates.

Other than that The 'IMP' is a fantastic evening pub to get pissed in.

The Buckingham Inn, Hereford

Not brilliant . Mainly a small cosy pub for locals. Good for a cheap drink on a sunday with a game of pool.

The Grandstand, Hereford

When The Grandstand first came to Hereford the pub offered excellent cheap meals. Now is a different story. The meals are disgusting and the service is just ridiculous. Always have chavvy families in there with noisy brats running around, slow, dull bar staff and tacky meals. Do NOT eat here, its awful.

The Kerry, Hereford

This place is one of the best night time spots in Hereford, there's a few things that let it down. The toilets are never pleasant and the DJ can't play any decent music, he is still stuck in the 80's.Boo hoo.

The Litten Tree, Hereford

Very expensive and there are hardly any offers, but the night time atmosphere makes up for it, It is a fantastic night time watering hole right near Dusk nightclub, so handy too.

Watercress Harry's, Hereford

I have lived in Hereford for just over 5 years now and I very much know my way around the pubs/clubs!There are a few great pubs in Hereford, Saxty's, The Kerry, The Imperial are just a few I can name.I understand 'Zombies' is new, I have been in there once and that was enough. It must be one of the worst pubs in Hereford, sounds harsh I know but it is true. I totally agree with Lady_Y.It is very bizarre and weird, with creepy toys, awful decor, horror dummies and the tacky logo it is horrid and not somewhere where I would enjoy a night out.I only stayed in there an hour, it was not busy and the atmosphere was 'dead'.

It seems a great shame that this pub has ended up this way, the old Watercress was fantastic and my partner and his friends were in there every weekend watching the football,in the evenings it was a thriving, busy ,atmospheric pub.The pub has gone to pot, hope someone else buys it and sorts it out because its an embarrassment to Hereford, right opposite the beautiful black and white house you have that ,it is a joke! The staff are quite strange too and made me feel very uncomfortable in there.Me and my friends will not be visiting this place again im afraid.I am also miffed on how the owners have the audasity to say it is one of the best venues in Hereford, dream on!Also there is not enough seating!
