The Blackfriar, Blackfriars

You have to visit just for the interior, you will not see anything like this anywhere.

The North Camp, North Camp

Have always found this pub friendly, and since the refurb and no-smoking ban, am happy to visit when I can.

The Old Ford, North Camp

Missed my train, so popped in for a pint......... what a great "PUB" which also has live music. The staff are very friendly as are the locals. Do not expect plush .. but do expect to feel comfortable (My other half is happy to visit alone), very few of these old victorian station pubs left. This pub is now our local, although we have to use the bikes as wheeled zimmer frames in order to get back home. If you get stuck at North Camp Station drop in, don't be put off by the motorcycles or long haired customers .......... not what you expect. Oh well back on the cycle for another hangover!!

The Old Sun Hotel, Haworth

Pub has changed since "Alberts" comment, we found this pub to be the friendliest pub in the area. It is family run pub and they do look after the customers. After our escape from the "Black Bull" we first of all checked that "Branwell" had not used the loo, leaned against the wall or been found drunk in the street outside ............ no, this pub instead serves good food and beer, whats so wrong with that!

The Black Bull, Haworth

Avoid this pub, staff spent most of the time smoking at the end of the bar, then serving pints and foods without washing their hands ............. was too late by then, we had already ordered our food. Beer o.k, but this is a basic get the tourists in, get their money off them and then get them out. No character, shame as this pub has real potential, they need to stop playing on the loose connection to "Branwell".

The Bay Horse, Oxenhope

Lively busy local pub, nice to see that they do still exist. Food was acceptable, but nothing special. Good selection of beers.

Barum Top, Halifax

Never use the place in the evening! However, we always pop in for breakfast and coffee. And out of all the JDW places we "Pop in to" this one serves the best breakfast. Some of the bar staff could do with a bit of top up training. Otherwise great value compared to greasy spoon cafes that are available in halifax.

The Moorcock Inn, Norland

Have used this pub a few times whilst in the area, good bar but the food service is not great. Needs a chef to take more of a focus on good value food.
