The Fat Loaf, Didsbury

A small menu but great food and gluten free friendly. They serve sunday roast, although we personally weren't there on a sunday yet.

Amazing carvery! Service was a little slow at first but then someone else took over the carvery and it sped up. Extremely good food though, especially for the price! Best value ever.

Great sunday roast! Desserts are excellent too. Very busy on sunday though, make a reservation.

The Railway, Euxton

I was a little worried about this place since the only review on here wasn't great. But my brother, who has Coeliac, was visiting from the US and we wanted to show him and his wife a good sunday roast in a pub. It was the only pub advertised (on the net) as having gluten free options within an hours drive from us. Turned out to be a good choice, everyone was very pleased with the food. The sirloin (which was used for the beef roast) did not seem any more fatty than normal - I've always known sirloin to be a somewhat fatty cut anyway. My husband and brother said the pork and lamb were very good too.

The yorkshire pudding was perfect (not too hard on top - nothing worse than trying to saw through your yorkshire pudding) and the gravy was very good (good enough that I could have done with some more!).

My only complaint is the service was a little slow. Some people actually like it that way because they otherwise feel rushed but we were really, really hungry so the long wait for our food wasn't ideal. But the food made up for it and the staff were very friendly and very gluten-free aware.
