The County and Station, Matlock

Doesn't give a great first impression from the outside, but actually the friendly bar staff and food here make it worth going to. Good range of ales, decent grub.

Lanherne Pub and Restaurant, Newquay

The two pool tables and fact that it's away from the stag/hen do's of Newquay might make it worth a visit, but... wouldn't make an effort to go again.

The Red Lion, Newquay

ok. not worth the walk from central Newquay.

The Quintrell Inn, Quintrell Downs

Not much atmosphere, shabby garden, but plenty of space and newspapers.

The Victoria Inn, Roche

Odd lcoation this, and feels like a Harvester - but great range of ales and worth a look.

Bugle Inn, Bugle

fair range of ales, worth a visit.

Cornish Arms, St Blazey

Terrible - miserable staff and generally grotty. One to miss.

Grubby and grumpy, one to miss.

Nice place to stay, food's good, there's a quiz machine, pool table any sky sports.

The Rose and Crown, Kew

only worth visiting to sit out the front and look over the green in the summer. usually has a couple of real ales available. poor bar service really lets it down though; unwelcoming. poor food too. could be a lovely, cozy pub, but at the moment it's everything but that.

The Inn At Kew, Kew

ok food, ok beer, just... ok. wouldn't make a special effort to go here.

The Botanist On The Green, Kew

Good food, nice decor and comfy sofas, but lacking atmosphere and a poor range of beers.

The Brewery Tap, Brentford

Lovely pub; nice atmosphere and live music, great for a sing-along!

The Coach and Horses, Kew

An open fire, board games and decent range of beers. A nice pub for a wintery afternoon. The garden out the back is pretty big, so good for a lazy drink in the summer. Food is a bit hit and miss though and The Botanist, opposite, is much better on this front.

Overall, the best pub in Kew - but only because the rest are so poor.

The Dog and Fox, Wimbledon Village

Busy atmosphere, with a decent range of beers. However the food's pretty poor considering the price of it - I paid 13 for a vegetarian sunday roast, and the parsnips were somewhere between rubbery and rock hard. The beer's expensive too. Disappointing and massively over-rated.

Jackson's Wine Bar, Northfields

Great quiz on a Monday night, easily the best I've been to in London.
Beer's fine, friendly staff, plenty of newspapers... nice little place.
