The Grapes, Wandsworth

Spent a happy Sunday afternoon in their garden: beer was excellent, landlord was very friendly and weather was gorgeous. Couldn't ask for more in a pub!

The Rose and Crown, York

I spent three happy years in York and consider the Rose and Crown my spiritual home. I'll never forget the pleasure of finding a pint of Adnams north of Nottingham!

The Kings Arms, Waterloo

Has all the makings of a good pub - nice beers, proper pub atmosphere, of the beaten track and not full of the idiots you find in many Waterloo pubs - but with only one surely member of staff for much of a busy Saturday evening and an abrupt kick out at closing I was left disappointed. May just have been a bad night though so may try my luck again if in the area.

The Ship and Whale, Rotherhithe

I'd echo the previous comment, the only thing I miss about the area and definitely worth a visit (particularly on quiz night)! I'll be back soon...

The Priory Arms, Stockwell

I moved to the area about 6 months ago and, after surveying the pub's on offer extensively, I settled on this one as my regular. I haven't been to another pub in the area since!

There's always a great selection of beers on and I like nothing more than whiling away an evening playing one of the many games on offer (Kerplunk anyone?).

My only hesitation in posting a review is that if too many people come I won't get a seat...

A proper, good, honest, beer drinker's pub.

The Cock and Woolpack, City Of London

A lovely little pub that is much improved under the new landlord. The beer was excellent - it's always nice to see a good range of Shepherd Neame beers - and the food is worth a try at lunchtime now there's a new menu.

Some advice for the uninitiated - the gents is downstairs on the left.
