The Dove, Ipswich

Easily the best pub in Ipswich for the ale selection and ambience. I visit from London a couple of times a year the place is a hidden gem.
Will be back again soon

The Viaduct, Hanwell

Visited this place the one time on a Saturday. The place was absolutely dead only 2 other watching the tv. The barmaid looked bored to tears and her scowl just made me want to drink up and walk to the nearby Fox which was much nicer.

The Fox, Hanwell

Been here a couple of times. Nice character to the place - family pub. Great selection of beers too. Never tried the food though.
Would come back more often however it's at the wrong end of a long street.
Overall a hidden gem.

The Drayton Court, West Ealing

I come here a couple of times a month. The pub is huge, food is tasty, uncomplicated and fairly decent amounts. The staff always appear to be helpful and I cannot fault them. Only suggestion would be to clean the toilets more regularly.

The Star and Anchor, West Ealing

This place is awful!
Seriously bad vibes in here.

The Common Room, Ealing Common

Plus points are that it's a nice relaxed bar and the food is quite nice.

Bad points are the ridiculous prices of the drinks. 4 for a Czech beer that's less than 50p in the shop accross the street is crazy.

The Wheatsheaf, Ealing

Nice pub off the beaten track. Fair selection of Fullers ales. Nice area at the front for reading the Sunday papers. Gets very busy early Friday however it has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The only negative side is the food which can be really disappointing. I have seen countless people complain about the burnt burgers. I have waited an hour for food to arrive before. The landlord is very friendly though and I feel the kitchen staff are letting him down.

Red Lion, Ealing

Quality little pub full of charm. Didn't eat here but drank some fine beers. Staff very curtious and the whole ambience of the place is right.

The North Star, Ealing

Worst bar staff in Ealing by a country mile.

After a long time getting served my friend asked for the beer to be topped up to the line. Watch out for the rip-off staff serving under measures here.

If the staff served pints properly and without the attitude this place would be much better. Interior is nice and comfy.

The Still and West, Portsmouth

I went here recently for a drink and food. Ordered the burger and before i mentioned a word, was told that all burgers are cooked well done. This was fine by me. Whilst eating the burger i noticed it was a little on the pink side in the middle. I was the fool for not sending it back to the kitchen because a few hours later I had the worst stomach cramps and pains I have ever experienced due to food poisoning.

Pub was nice enough though but I would think twice about eating here. Maybe I was just the unlucky one in a million.

The Duke of York, Victoria

WARNING THIS PUB SERVES THE DREGS FROM THE DRIP MATS!

Went here last night for a quick drink with a few friends. I thought it was handy being close to the station. However, waiting at the bar I observed the barman emptying the dripmats (which were full of beer slops) into empty pint glasses. He had 3 pint glasses quarter full of dregs which he topped up with beer and served to customers. I could not believe my eyes. He was not discreet either as if it was the most normal thing to do.

Everything else about the pub was ok i suppose but I think you are taking a big risk with your health if you drink or eat here.
