I must have stayed at the Spinnaker on at least a dozen occasions and the key word is consistency - consistently brilliant. The welcome is warm and friendly, the atmosphere great and you can meet the odd one or two Morton supporters in The Spinnaker. And they don't come much odder than Morton fans. Great place great people and I can't wait to get back.

You must visit the Vaults - at least once. Suggest a weekend when the karaoke is in full swing especially later in the evening. Some cracking singers. Avoid the house doubles and stick to the known brands.

nice location opposite a splendid Italian. Crowded on a weekend obviously.

Yes the Duck is a great place to visit. Have been back several times to see the great entertainment.

The Chicago Rock Cafe, Chester Le Street
Much the same as the Chicago Rock in any town or city except keep an eye out for the DJ - Gareth. Canny lad by all accounts.

Always busy. Fine range of wines, beers and spirits and plenty of parking. Good pub grub would be the best way to describe the fayre on offer.

Has maintained its great image. Good range of wines, spirits and ale and the food just seem to get better each time we visit. First class.

Busy town centre pub - well it would be at �1 a pint. Very busy at weekends and on match days. Stopping off point for Pools fans.

Monkey hangers paradise. A favourite waterhole for all Pools fans on match day. Other times can be quiet.

Park your porsche here. Good range of wines, food very good and varied, nice atmosphere. Avoid Quiz nights Monday and Wednesday unless of course you are a quiz anorak. Nice people.

On the Friday night trail. Always worth having one here! Pool table, dart board, bandit, yes all a pub might to offer and good prices too.

Recently refurbished (and it needed it). Sky TV, ample parking. Usual features. Staff friendly enough. Good pit stop on way to and from town centre.

Superb pub - fine food - wonderful views and photo opportunities. Will be back on 22nd November if not before. Great place
