King Of Diamonds, Camden

Came to this pub before (by the looks of the comments) under the old management. The staff were rude and seemed rather inconvenienced by your presence. Not to mention I once saw the assistant manager curled up asleep on one of the sofas! The beers weren't great and there was barely any ales on (which surprised me as they only have three hand pumps, shouldn't be that hard to maintain three ales?) So I avoided it for a while.

Went back last week and the place has completely changed. Totally new management, cleaner and tidier, the staff have all changed. They are much nicer, far more attentive and very polite, happy and competent.

The terrace bar (which only opens 3 days a week) doesn't have the same selection of draft products as downstairs, and can get quite crowded of an evening but it is definitely one of London's best kept secrets.

Will most certainly be back next time i'm in the area.

Castle, Farringdon

Great looking pub, tasty food, great drinks selection but terrible staff. The current manager is rude and doesn't seem to care about you and the staff are the same.

The One Tun, Farringdon

The staff are brilliant, if a tad difficult to swallow at times. Does have a bit of an odd smell and their draft selection is a bit sparse. That is over shadowed by their whisky selection!

The Railway Bell, South Woodford

The only thing that puts me off this pub is being able to smell the toilets wherever you are. Quite obvious a lot of the patrons are on drugs and the staff don't appear to bat an eyelid. Ales seem to be very well looked after. Never had to return a pint and yes, Carl is a brilliant guy.

The Cuckfield, Wanstead

One of the nicest pubs in the area, food looks yummy (can't say I've eaten here, usually just pop in for a pint on my way home) staff have always been friendly if a bit flustered at times. Blue Moon on draft is always a bonus.

The Green Man, Soho

Nice enough pub. Does have a tendency to get VERY busy of a weekend especially if there's a game on. Friday night atmosphere is great and the food is your standard pub fare. Avoid if you're not into sports.
