Loving it!!! i love the roof garden and i didnt feel weird taking my dad in here for a drink.
The management team are one of the best in Camden -this place is ace

Prob the worst hogshead i'd been to, but the staff were lovely used to come say hi to me at work and i had a platinum card and got discounts on Mondays- wikked

I'm not in to old man style pubs but this place was really nice to use, put on a free bbq esp for us the first week i lived in camden and they had lovely staff and a gorgeous garden overlooking the canal, cheap drinks etc.
Kept coming back on tues for a curry and a pint (or a malibu coke)

I didn't think this place was too bad really... a bit pretentious.
although i did think the food was a bit overpriced and the DJ was some cocky youngster and the manager was a bit rude but on the whole a nice place
I think the drink selection was very similar to OH! bar though and as much as it pains me to say this out of the two i think oh! bar is the better venue

im not into Walkabouts.... mainly cos i was refused entry at the one in Angel cos i wanted to pay admission in 10p's and I then had to walk home alone and i got beaten up and stabbed and ended up in hospital!!!!
As such i have refused to enter walkabouts but i went into this one the other day and nothing bad happened.
AS for the DJ comments, one of my favourite derby friends is a DJ for this venue and he is not up himself and he is a pretty decent act (check him out at Bar v on weds and sats). Yates DJs are up themselves and so is everyone in there!!

Totally agree, now i'm not into dives but this place is just trying to hard to be classy and its just gone a bit wrong.
Wouldn't rate the dj too much either.
Nice toilets and nice deco tho... the staff seem to enjoy themselves and the door men are v professional

Has made a lot of improvements since John Took over.
Great place to go particuarly at the weekend, great selection of Djs and live music. Lively staff. Some of the cheapest drinks in town. Check out the new cocktail menu. I'd much rather go here than some other places in Derby and they are open til 2am.
Monday nights- student nights, loads of drinks offers eg vodka red bull �1.50, shots �1, 3 bottles of vk for�5
Wednesday nights- Derby's student disco. The best in funky house and old school classics
Thursdays- live music... check the website for more info
Fridays and Saturdays- funky house
Sundays- chill out
Stop in and see all the changes and get a free shot of flavored vodka with a valid voucher

full of old pervy men, do not go in here if you are a under 25 year old lady!! and several of them hadn't washed in wks. only go in this place if you desperately need the loo and dont want to use vic circuses own loos

i loves the cliff- its great even if you're straight. i wasn't sure about them offering a managerial job to a camden bar manager though , but he turned it down tho so all is good

I do and have always noticed a distinct immature and not v sophisticated atmosphere about this place. Even when i was 13 and it was the fish i avoided it. When i was there some stupid student was walking round the beer garden making herself a dirty pint from the emptys.

Yes the staff do need a reality check they do not have definitive control over everyone. And if you say the manager is surly it obviously has rubbed onto the employees.

The Parrs Head, Camden
I went in here and we were served drinks in dusty glasses, and the place didnt look like it had been cleaned for 80 years let alone had a re-fit and from the outside it looks as tho its falling down.
