31st october we are holding halloween at the pub and fancy dress is always welcome and we will have a halloween buffet again at a reasonable price of 2.95

hi to all reading these reviews.

i would like to introduce my self as the new manager of the pub. my name is Martyn Hixon and together with my wife Jennine we intend to bring this pub up to a standard which i hope you will agree with needs.
it is a bit worrying when you read reviews that are not exactly a good advertisment for your new business venture as you will all understand and agree with me on, this is why since may 2008 we are both trying to make this pub a pleasant and enjoyable place to drink.
(baring in mind things do take time and money so we do a bit at a time but we will get there)

after all it is a stunning settings in the clyne valley and with a bit of work we are hopeing that the positive reviews will overlook the negative ones. i agree we will never be able to please every body this is impossiable to do but we will try to over come issues that need attention. certain things are happening to the pub, like food to be served eventually once all the regs are signed is one thing new happening. lots of functions for example : quiz night, karoke and so on.
i read that in one review the regulars look upon people like aliens, but i feel like that when ever i visit other pubs myself. i will say though, since taking on the pub since may this year i have had a lot more people stopping and drinking from the cycle track and so its not so much as a regulars drinking pub anymore but now more of a mixed clientel. i ask you readers to please feel the need to pop into the pub and see the changes taking place and please feel free to ask the barstaff to call me so i can meet and greet you and welcome you to the railway inn and give you more information as to what is happening here.
please bare with us and watch this space.
kindest regards
martyn hixon (landlord )
